A shockwave is defined as a wave with a rapid increase of increase of pressure within a very short time and then having a gradual decrease of pressure with a small negative pressure phase. Shockwave is aimed at the affected areas that are the source of chronic pain. The influence of the shockwaves causes to the dissolution of calcium deposits and leads to better vascularization. The after-effect is relief from the pain.
Pneumatic hock wave therapy has become an emerging new technology for treating musculoskeletal problems, soft-tissue injuries and bone injuries in horses. This is non-invasive, used to stimulate healing to return horses to a level of fully sound, useful activity without recurrence of disease.
Shockwave therapy for horses / animal is a great alternative to drugs and their side effects. It works on chronic and acute conditions, providing relief without the risks of steroid treatments or further injury. With shockwave therapy, you can ensure your horse’s / animal comfort and well-being with a safe and effective treatment. Say goodbye to harmful drugs and hello to a better way of healing with shockwave therapy.

What Can This Machine Do?
1. Ligament Injuries
Suspensory Ligament Branch Lesions: Inflammation, strain and degeneration of suspensory ligament branches, common in sport horses with long-term training load. Shockwaves boost collagen regeneration and reduce limb lameness.
Joint Collateral Ligament Injuries: Sprains and chronic inflammation of collateral ligaments in knee, hock, elbow and pastern joints, improving joint stability and easing movement pain.
Nuchal Ligament Strain & Fibrosis: Neck stiffness, limited head movement and chronic neck soreness caused by overstretched nuchal ligaments.
2. Joint and Skeletal Degenerative Disorders
Arthropathy / Cubarthrosis: Degenerative inflammation of hock joints, reducing joint swelling, stiffness and weight-bearing pain.
Hip & Elbow Dysplasia: Developmental joint malformation in young animals, alleviating chronic arthritic pain and improving mobility.
Navicular Syndrome & Ringbone: Chronic foot pain, bone spur and degenerative coffin joint lesions that cause persistent lameness.
Stress Fractures & Splint Bone Inflammation: Minor bone bruising, periostitis and incomplete stress fractures, accelerating bone repair without surgical intervention.
3. Muscle Disorders
Muscle Trigger Points & Fibrosis: Hard muscle knots formed by overtraining; shockwaves loosen tight muscle fibers and break fibrous adhesions.
Myositis & Sciatica: Muscle inflammatory lesions and nerve compression pain in hind limbs.
Chronic Back Pain / Kissing Spines: Thoracolumbar stiffness, spinal friction pain and reduced athletic performance caused by long-term riding burden.
4. Tendon and Scar Tissue Conditions
Equine Tendinopathy: Acute and chronic tendon inflammation, tendon calcification and bowed tendons; promotes ordered repair of damaged tendon fibers to prevent recurrent injury.
Painful Dense Scar Tissue: Hard, tender scar tissue formed after trauma or surgery; remodels scar tissue to soften tight adhesions and eliminate persistent soreness.
5. Extended Auxiliary Clinical Applications
Post-traumatic soft tissue swelling and hematoma absorption: Accelerate the dissipation of limb edema after sprains and contusions.
Slow-healing sprains and strains: Shorten rehabilitation cycles for acute soft tissue injuries of sport horses.
Unexplained connective tissue lameness: Relieve ambiguous limb soreness unresponsive to rest or medication.
Post-orthopedic surgery rehabilitation: Assist tissue recovery after tendon/ligament surgery, lower scar hyperplasia risk.
Preventative maintenance for performance horses: Relieve muscle fatigue after training, reduce the risk of overuse injuries.
